let’s start with a conversation

30 minute FaceTime // no-cost

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step – you don’t have to do it perfectly.

If you're curious about working together, you’re welcome to book a no-cost 30-minute intro call via WhatsApp video or telephone.

It’s a chance to ask questions, share what’s on your mind, and get a feel for whether soft story may be the right fit. No pressure, no expectations.

FYI, we currently run soft story part-time. So if you are in urgent need of support, we’ve provided some contacts. Click here to access them.

What to expect from an intro call

  • You can book your intro call through the website. This is a short, free phone call to see if soft story feels like a good fit.

  • This email will include the time and date of your call and how to make changes if you need to reschedule.

  • This will also include a link to be able to make changes to your appointment.

  • Rhiannon will call your phone at the time you booked. You don’t need to call them — they’ll contact you.

They will call you once at the start time, and if you can’t answer, one more time after 5 minutes.

  • I’ll ask you a few questions to help me know if I can' provide what you’re looking for

    1. Have you had counselling/therapy before and what was good about it?

    2. Have you had bad experiences and what would be a deal-breaker?

You can also ask me questions and share anything else that feels important about what you’re looking for.

  • An intro call is all about finding out how comfortable you feel with me.

Some common topics people talk about to figure this out are

    • The kind of support they are looking for

    • What they need to feel safe and understood

    • Their access needs or preferences

  • There are no wrong answers. You’re welcome to write down questions ahead of time if that helps.

  • There’s no pressure to book a session straight away. You can decide when (or if) you’re ready.

Rhiannon will also let you know on the call or soon afterwards if they think there is another therapist who might be better suited to you.

If Rhiannon doesn’t hear from you in a week, they’ll follow up to check-in.
